[vicsireland] No volume on ringtone

Hi folks,
I sometimes don’t hear my iPhone ring, so I thought I better check the
volume level.
I firsrt called my iphone but didn’t hear it ring.
On checking my settings I found the following in the sounds menu. There
are 2 references to vibrate, which I hadn’t noticed before.
Heading: silent
Vibrate on
Heading: ring
Vibrate on.
Volume: 30% (I then set this to 100%)
Ringtone: Blues
I changed the vibrate status to off, shut down and restarted the phone, but
still no ringtone on calling the number. I prefer to have a ringtone
rather than vibrate.
Am I missing anything.
Will a reset erase data such as texts, contacts, videos, music and photos
etc?
The other thing I notice, is that although the screen lock is set to 5
mins, it normally locks after about 30 secondss!
As ever, any advice most welcome.
