Hi Paul,

Thanks for the below. However, what I wanted to do was to rip the
contents from an existing data cd to my hard drive ... Not burn contents
on to a cd.

Anyway, as usual the simplest solution won out ... I was simply able to
copy and paste the relevant data from the cd.

Tim

hi Tim
when i am making a data cd i do the following, it is the same whether i am
using real player or wmp. as a matter of fact there is no need to open the
player page at all.
pay particular attention to step 9 and 10 as to choice of burning options
audio or data.

1 insert the blank cd

2 jaws brings up a dialogue asking what you want to do with a number of
choices

3 just close this dialogue box

4 go into the my music folder and pick the track or album i want. lets say
it is for example waterloo from an abba album

5 with the track highlighted go to file, send to and cd drive

6 open my computer and cd drive and the tracks you are waiting to burn are
listed

7 repeat step 5 if you have more tracks to send to the cd drive and these
will appear on the list

8 with the cd drive page open and the list showing just go to file, write
these files to cd

9 you will be asked to give the blank cd a name e.g. 'best 80s'

10 when you have given the name and click then you choose to burn either a
audio or data cd and click ok.
jobs is oxo the data cd in your case will start burning and eject when
complete

hope this is what you are looking for Tim
any problem give me a shout on list or
