Hi Tim You are right it is Java software & when i load it up every day from IE it says Applet loading & Java scripts running. For those of you who can see the icon is a coffee cup which is the symbol used to denote Java software. You have to keep it open all day until you finish for the working day. I suppose if VICS was to test a copy of it you should contact Oracle in Fairview for it. Apparently Jaws does work well enough with it, as long as you have jaws and java configured to talk to each other. I used to use it for pricing items. From a vision impaired person's point of view i find it easy to use after some training I received in it a few years ago. It is very clear in terms of font size & layout. Sometimes you'll have more than one screen open in it depending on what you may be looking for. There would be quite a few fields in a page in oracle & some of them might have drop down menus which might contain the information you require. The onlly snag is that it may be slow booting up too. Other list members may have tested it with JAWS & they may be able to tell you a bit more about it. It could well be something for Brian & the research team to check out. Hope that helps Suzanne ________________________________ From: vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Joan Ann Brosnan Sent: 29 June 2006 16:06 To: vics Subject: [vicsireland] Oracle Hi I was just wondering if anyone has used Oracle and if it is Jaws friendly? Any advice would be welcome Joan Ann.
