Hi all,

I now have a working Nokia E52 Vodafone speaking phone.
I experienced several problems when I bought the phone originally and it was re-installed 4 times and finally I got a new phone which now seems to work with Talks fairly well.
It seems to be stable for making and receiving phone calls and sending and reading text messages.
I am slowly exploring other facilities such as voice recorder, and using the wireless lan for web browsing and subscribing to podcasts. (at this stage I haven't taken out a data option on my phone contract)
I have installed Loadstone and will try this out over the next few weeks. I am interested to see how well the integrated GPS receiver works.
The most annoying issue at the moment is that Talks can't read help screens. Other than that, it seems to be okay..
I would be interested to hear anyone else's experience with the E52 and Talks.

Many thanks to all who responded to this query. I am just picking it up now as I have returned from holidays.
I got the E52 from Vodafone with Talks pre-installed as a speaking phone. 

the version of Talks is  Nuance Talks 4.11.3


I am experiencing a number of problems:
1. It periodically freezes, about once a day, necessitating removal of the battery to get it going again. 2. Occasionally Talks stops talking although the phone itself seems to keep going. Switching the phone off and on again cures this. 
3. I can't read the help screens at all.
4. I occasionally get a message that too many applications ar open and I am out of memory. This has happened when only messaging, stand-by and menu were opened.
I will bring the phone back to the shop and discuss the issue. I take the point about looking for the latest version of Talks.
I am wondering if it might also be due to some other set up configurations such as the amount of memory, the version of the E52 firmware etc etc.

Hi Ronan
I use Talks Premium v4.0 with the E52 and have no such problems; however I did experience similar freeze-ups when I had an earlier version so it might 
be worth your while to upgrade to version 4.
If you go into the Talks application and press the option button and open the About menu item you will see the version of Talks that is running on 
your phone.

teething trouble with the E52.
Has anyone on the list any experience or tips regarding the E52? I have problems with the phone freezing up a lot and needing to remove the battery, 
also, For example, I don't seem to be able to read the help screens.
