[vicsireland] Vodafone and Talks - Update

Dear all,
Following communications from Vodafone Ireland today, can all potential
Vodafone Speaking Phone customers be aware of the following.
Vodafone are currently selling their mobile phones (Nokia 6680 and N70),
with Talks version 2.5 installed.
Talks 3.0 was actually released last week but Vodafone Ireland have told me
they cannot at present tell me when they will be distributing this version.
Furthermore, people who have recently purchased one of these phones, or who
plan to do so in the near future, will not be upgraded free of charge to
version 3.0 by Vodafone.
This is because they say they were not aware of the release of the new
version and cannot carry the cost associated with upgrading.
I hope to hear from them shortly with a date from which version 3 will be
available.
