Hello All
Some time ago I put out a request from our friend Pat Kelly who has a friend
Conor Hughes who is going to Ghana in January 2018 and hopes to bring out a
supply of used or new white canes for people with a sight disability out
there.
Marti Morley is now aiming to give this a push along by asking those
attending the seniors party in the League next Saturday afternoon to bring
along any spare white canes for this project. Marti will ensure that these
canes get to Conor prior to his departure to Ghana.
For any of you who aren't attending the event in the League next Saturday,
and would like to contribute to this very worthy cause, you can leave your
canes into the League in the next few weeks.
Alternatively, if you leave canes into Fighting blindness at No. 7 Ely
Place, I'll collect them and pass them onto Marti.
