Thanks Joan Ann,
But it has the same zero effect as Ctl + S and trying things through Alt + F.
Looks like I'll have to wait until the next update that hopefully fixes the bug.
A couple of strange things. The same hasn't happened on my laptop,
only my desktop.
Secondly, my desktop is still taking 10 minutes to reboot, so I think
the installation probably didn't go right.
Thanks,
Robbie

You could try pressing F12 which will bring you into the save as dialog
box.

Subject: [vicsireland] Windows 10 Update Stops MS Word from Creating New
Files
Hi,
Before going out yesterday evening, I finally succumbed to Windows 10's
latest annoying reminders, and allowed it to update. It did say that this
one would take longer than normal.
This morning when I returned to the Desktop, it took about 10 minutes to
boot up...which is ok since I'm thinkin' it's still in update mode.
I go to save a new document in Microsoft Word 2010, and absolutely nothing
happens. Voiceover is interrupted when I press Ctl + S, but there is
nothing else happening.
Luckily for me, it is allowing me to save changes I make to pre-existing
documents.
I've searched online, but can't find any troubleshoot to match this.
Has anyone else had the same experience?
Has anyone got any suggestions?
Regards,
Robbie
