Hi Gerry,
While Security Essentials will certainly protect you against some viruses and
other spy threats, there are bigger security issues with an older OS like
windows XP that will be exposed once Microsoft stop patching the leaks.
The advice really is to upgrade as soon as you can.

Hi all,
If X.P. SUPPORT is ending and my x.p. pc is seseptle to hits by virus etc, As I
run ms essentials on my pc does it not protect the computer from such attacks
etc. Confused and what do the experts on the list suggest? Do I feel a groan
of discomfort with the thoughts of reloading the programs I'm using to another
computer>?
I am using the Free version of SPAMfighter.
SPAMfighter has removed 558 of my spam emails to date.
