Hi Flor, Paul and Gerry,
Thanks for your advice on the MS Dot Framework program.
Flor, I imagine you're right about it being a recommended rather than a
critical update. I reviewed my Windows XP updates last night, and I
think everything is current. The only thing I failed to update was I.E7,
which is now done.
Paul: your link to the MS Framework prog worked beautifully! I've
downloaded it, but not yet installed it.
Gerrry: I take your point about specific MS updates being available for
different operating systems.
hope to install the framework and I.E.7 progs over the weekend.
I've also bought the professional version of Grisoft's AVG7.5 and their
firewall - another thing to be installed! Hope the firewall is as
accessible as AVG itself.
