Does anyone know whicuhebook readers works well with apple. I sent this email to find out if bookshelf works, I thought this format which works with some ipods, apple and windows pc's would be a good place to start or get someone to start. I think windows ebook reader has a text to speech and some key pad short cuts but does it work on apple?

I've been experimenting with getting some text-to-speech support into BookShelf. Unfortunately my ability to license TTS software is somewhat limited, so I'm stuck playing with the few OpenSource options. They work, but the voices leave a bit to be desired.

I don't have anything approaching an ETA at this point, but assuming I can manage to get something viable put together, I'd very much like to add TTS support to a future version of BookShelf. I've also looked at the DAISY ebook format which I think would open some additional options for users who have difficulty reading on-screen text for any reason. I have some limitations in both my design and in Apple's firmware that I'll need to work around first in order to get the text and speech synchronized, but it's definitely something I'll be working on in the near future.

Hi I was thinking would bookshelf have or support text to speech, for any of the formats this would be good for blind, dyslexics , and people driving etc.
