Hi Paul

Cant remember how to do it myself but what I did when I replied to you
was to go to format Alt+O and down to background and change the
background colour to white but that may not be a permanent fix.

        Hi Paul

Just as a matter of interest your mails are coming up on screen
as a plain black background with no print visible. When Tim replied his
mail was visible as white on black or something like that. Of course it
reads as it should with the speech app.

        hi tim

when i say jaws is turned off, i mean that i am on my account
which runs jaws at startup, so i can work on the system.

then when a sighted person wants to work, i leave my account
active and just use alt and f4, then ok to close jaws .

                Hi,

When you say jaws is turned off, have you unloaded it
using the jawsky + f4 keystroke?

Have you then closed and re-opened the web browser?

                Tim

                        hi folks

when jaws is switched off for the sake of other
family members I am told that they cannot type in a form field or edit
box.

when jaws is on I can use the space bar to turn
on forms mode but I am told that what I type is not visible and also if
make a mistake typing in lets say a username or password and press
backspace to correct the computer jumps forward a page on the webpage.

this problem is also relevant when I try to
create a new account on the pc, I can niter the form field to give the
new account a name but nothing is visible when I as in a flashing cursor
and I cannot type in either with jaws on or off.

                        any ideas

                        help appreciated.

                        regards

                        Paul h
