Hi
I hope that there is an imac user out there who might be able to answer this
query. Saying that it is for a friend not myself as I'm only an iphone user
and a windows pc user so far. Now the question:
My friend has ipad, iphone and imac. Now in previous past he has syncted all 3
and everything was fine. Now recently he switched his imac on and tried to
login. firstly the problem was reported as being a wrong password which he has
fixed in that he has changed his apple account password and this is working
fine with ipad and iphone. but once again when he tries to log in to the imac,
the dialog box comes up to check his wifi connection. As he said to me, he
isn't actually wishing to login to his icloud account but to log on to his imac
to gain access to it. and the email and password should be accepted because the
hardware should contain the details. Thinking that it was a connection problem
I suggested that he try going into settings but he can't as he can't log in to
access settings. Oh! yes, I believe that he may have done a system
reinstallation around or previous to the same time for other reasons, now
whether this was a system re installation or a system restoration I don't know
but I would believe it was the former so one can develop thoughts from that.
Any suggestions, at this point he is thinking of going to the apple specialists
in Limerick with all 3 devices and doesn't really look forward to the time
consuming inconvenience and ordeal.
