Hi Eamonn,

Others might have a clearer way than what follows.

Is any new purchase of JAWS being contemplated? Which version number of JAWS might be removed? Which OS is being transferred to? Do you or they have the original JAWS CD or JAWS DVD? Perhaps it might be wise first to install a JAWS demo (or a copy of the original without authoirization on the newer computer.

On the older computer, if you go into Programs/All Programs, then press the letter j to highlight items until you come to JAWS, then you go into the JAWS version submenu structure and look for something called Remove Product Activation. before doing that removal, or on foot of doing it, however, it is advisable that the person request an additional number of keys from Freedom Scientific. they can then uninstall JAWS from that PC, and install it on the other. Thereafter, either follow through the prompts to authorize over the Internet, or any of the alternative methods which might better suit.

Subject: [vicsireland] query, removing Jaws from pc

Hi folks,

A second copy of Jaws was installed on a pc here, to accommodate a girl who
had a temporary placement, which has now ended.

jaws is now needed for someone who is due to start employment somewhere
else within the Department of Justice.

Should any particular procedures be followed, when it comes to removing
jaws from one pc, with a view to installing it on another?

I assume a copy should be kept of the locking code and serial number?

Any issues re the licence?

Regards with thanks,

Eamonn
