I don't know about the video side of RealPlayer. You might consider procuring
a TV tuner card? If you have RealPlayer installed, it should play the .smil.
If you don't, perhaps the Web site you're being steered towards is the Real
Networks download site where you can get RealPlayer or a plug-in for it. The
Premium version of RealPlayer probably has more video-recording capabilites
than the free version. Perhaps the 14-day free trial of Premium then.

  Hi all

I missed a program on RTE1 TV last week and downloaded a smill file which I
think directs me to a site on the Web which I can watch the program.

How can I put this program on dvd so I can watch it on my television?

  Regards

  Gus
