rather dictating a text message to which they will reply and does the
conversation will progress until you finish and get I The required

hi Gerard
thanks for that i found this machine as well on my internet travels. but
unfortunately this machine is not suitable for me as they are only available
in free standing where the machine i need is integrated/built-in. i have a
Samsung app downloaded on my phone and looked through it and for the most of
what i did get to look around the app it seems to be accessible. now this
doesn't answer if the washing machine can be operated but it is definitely a
product that i would be looking at again. for those of you that don't know
what its saying on the internet these Samsung washing machines are wifi
compatible and operated either on the machine or the machine can be operated
by the Samsung app. i.e starting and stopping the machine and selecting
programs on the machine, i.e 30 degree or 60 degree tempertures and spin
cycles and so on. also these apps if the machine breaks down can scan a code
that appears on the l.e.d screen on the machine and will send a fault report
to Samsung who in turn will send a repair guy if required.
i did write to Samsung Ireland asking about this technology and as yet there
is no reply. im wondering am i being ignored because the person i wrote to is
afraid of blind people or is it a case that he doesn't know is this machine
not accessible to us blind folks. also for those interested in these machines
the cheapest one i see available starts at €800 and go all the ways up a
pretty penny in my eyes seen as machines can be bought for new for as little
as €250.

Vincent

Hi Vincent,
I can’t recall the outcome to that thread, but looking on the web I found a
utube video about an app which works with samsun washing machines so that one
can control the washing machine from the app. Of course the big question is,
is the app accessibleand what models does it work with and its availability
in Ireland? So, I am including the web address of Samsun.ie contact us page,
I see that there is a on line text facility where one can put all these
questions to them between 9am -5pm. If the level of accessibility is as good
as it is in Darragh’s tv then you will be made up. Of course hopefully the
app accessibility extends to machines that are washer, dryers. See below:
