Hi, Gerry,

Welcome to the confusing world of Office 2007! It is office updating to 2007
from 2003 rather than moving from XP to Vista is the issue.

I think that everyone finds the ribbon confusing at first, not just us. One
good tip is if you remember the exact set of keystrokes that worked in Office
2003, type them in and they will still work. However, you can't stop half way
through and investigate what key to hit next.

No, there isn't a way that I know of to move back to the old and trusted Menu
system. I'm afraid it's a matter of climbing the steep learning curve.

To add a new recipient in Outlook you need to either know the email address or
have it in your address book. If the former, just type it in. If the latter,
type in part of the name and hit Control-K. This will give you a list of
matches to the part you have keyed in and you can choose the one you want by
arrowing up and down and hitting <Enter> on the one you want. To add a second
or subsequent address, type a semicolon (;) and go through the same process
again.

I hope this helps some little bit.

Take Care,

Gerry Ellis

If you don't know where you're going,
How will you know when you get there?

Subject: [vicsireland] windows vista and menus

Hi, I was using a vista pc with windows and found it slightly disconcerting
to getused to the ribbon menus. Could someone please tell me

  A. using outlook and in a new message the option to add sender in the "To"
boxis not readily available as the four menus are file, edit, format, and view,
 Somewhat different to windows XP.

  B. Using the ribbon menus in word had similar problems, is it possible to
revert to old menu versions as in "Windows classic" for desktop options.
ThanksGerry
