This has now been refined a little.
Becaues the notes are discrete entities it is impossible to get a completely
smooth fade, but the law has been changed so that the lowest part of the fade
is less of a sudden drop. However, this is very dependent on the note overlap
range. The wider it is the smoother the effect.
With the current master, there is a demo instrument file called (surprisingly)
CrossFade.xiz in he 'examples' directory, along with a description file
CrossFade.txt
It's a bit 'different' :)
Now after that diversion I must plod on with the direct access stuff {sigh}

Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.
