Hi-

I'm new to Yoshimi, and I'm looking for some advice in imitating a
certain synth sound for a concert in December.

Welcome to the fun! :)

I'll be playing Paul McCartney's Wonderful Christmastime
(https://youtu.be/V9BZDpni56Y).

I'm wondering if I should use a synth with the arpeggios built in or do
them manually.

I think an 'Echo' (i.e. delay effect) is better...

With the built-in sounds, the SynthPiano/AnalogPiano3 or AnalogueBass
sounds the most like it or I could use the SoftArpeggio1.

I had a go playing with the synth bass 2 from the Mysterious Bank... Not exactly the same thing as ADSR would depend on how you intend to play (or programme the notes) and the filtering would need some further tweaking. Also I added an overall EQ effect to try and soften the higher end... But here goes :)

If I use the latter, I would like to edit it so that it sustains for a
shorter amount of time and possible increase the rate to match the
recording.

Thanks so much for your help-

Jon
