Can the preview be "extended" to show some version and date info?
Chris

Currently, the preview checkbox seems to show the xml content on the right side. And I
thought initially I could listen immediately to the selected instrument, meaning it would
load it to the current selected instrument slot. Would be much more fun if we could
directly listen from "load window", before click OK. Usually I am not
interested in what is inside .xml :)
In Yoshimi making sound is a two part process. The lole you load detirmines what
functions in Yoshimi will be activated and what there parameters. It is the
three synth engines that read that specification to then perform the necessary
calculations to generate the waveforms. There is no direct way to convert the
incoming files to sound.
I had been thinking of removing that prevew - it serves no useful purpose and
is merely a default feature of the FLTK file manager.

Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.
