I spoke too soon when I said I understood AddSynth voice :(
If in doubt I still refer back to Zyn 2.2.1 - it's helped me out many times.
Well, a bug had crept in. The action when a voice uses a lower numbered one
should be for it's oscillator editor to work on (and indicate) the voice it is
pointing to. I never realised this before, and although I've corrected the
action in the latest commit, personally I don't like this at all :(
I can just see someone spending hours to get voice 1 just perfect, then looking
at voice 2, setting it to voice one, and then thinking that it should be
slightly different ... recipe for disaster!
I'm thinking maybe we should have a switch somewhere that locks and disables
the voice/modulator editors if they are not pointing to themselves. I also think
it should be a main configuration switch. Default it to 'off' to maintain
compatibility, but I can say that I would immediately set it 'on' and keep it
that way!
Anyone else got thought on this?
Still we now have rc3 which also corrects an anomaly with our saved XML
doctype.
