Actually, I noticed this morning that I was still on pre2 on this box
where I was having the no more than one yosh for jack problem- I'd
only installed pre3 at work and not here like I thought so its prob
safe to ignore that as a bug report.

After wanting to try the latest Linuxsampler without recompiling the
world this morning I added the kxstudio ppa to my regular lucid
repositories. LS LV2 didn't really work and now I've got some hybrid
jack 1 + jack2 mishmash nightmare system where yoshimi pre2 doesn't
start any more and pre3 doesn't want to compile. I was thinking of
trying the latest kxstudio out anyway but now that seems like a must -
easier than trying to untangle my current system.

With pre3 under Lucid 64 w/ AMD64 + Core2 turned out I can't have more
than one instance of Yoshimi open at once. I can start a second
instance and see its ports appear in JACK but as soon as I open an
instrument in Yosimi #2 it disappears far as JACK is concerned.

Anyone else seeing this?

No, running 3 instances now on my Lucid 32 bits install.

Best,
