gets a program change.

So far I've tested this under debian on two AMD 64 bit machines. It is a
very simple bit of code and seems to work perfectly on both, but I really
would
like people to try this on other combinations. In particular, Intel 32 and
64 bit architectures. If everything seems OK, then this will be the trigger
for V 1.2.1

Works just fine here, Arch on Intel Atom N270 (yep, one of those
heffalump CPUs :) ).

Very pleased to hear that!

Is anyone actually routing MIDI via ALSA?

Only if source and destination are both ALSA only—i.e. no, not in the
case of yoshimi.

best,

I confess that up to now I've used ALSA MIDI because Rosegarden doesn't have
Jack MIDI capability, but have tested it with a2jmidid and it seems to work
without problems, although the interconnect between Rosegarden and my MIDI
hardware is still ALSA

Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.
