Turns out that the 'examples' and 'presets' folders are part of the
'make install' step. That's when all of the xiz's et cetera get put in
runtime locations, by a 'tar' command called from the makefile. Perhaps
it is that the 'Cannot stat' messages are what 'tar' normally does when
it needs to create a folder?

Am finding a few little build issues. The rpmbuild log is attached. I
saw some .fl version oddies which I am certain are minor warnings, and
much further down, at least two items like this:
+ tar xvpf -
tar: examples: Cannot stat: No such file or directory
banks/
banks/Organ/
banks/Organ/0005-Organ 5.xiz
where the 'examples' and 'presets' folders are listed as problematical
in some way. I don't know if the latter are significant or not, but it
looks like I should mention it.
hi Jonathon, where do the 'examples' and 'presets' folders come from?
They're not part of yoshimi as best I can tell.
cheers.
