Vector control features can be independently reversed. Before they all worked
in the same sense:
x1 pan > x2 pan
x1 filter > x2 filter
As x1 pans left to right it gets 'brighter' conversely x2 goes right to left
and gets duller
But now you can do:
x1 pan > x2 pan
x1 filter < x2 filter
As x1 pans left to right it gets *duller*
