Dave, I asked her to put me threw to registrations, she hadn't a clue what I was on about, even though I tried to tell her why I wanted registrations.
Total waste of my time. Jim.----- Original Message ----- From: "Ankers, Dave (UK)" <Dave.Ankers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Jim, As I said in my original email, when phoning 195, insist on being put through to registration and do not accept any rubbish from the advisor. I informed the lady in registration that the advisors need more training and when you speak to registration, I advise you do the same and maybe they might give them some. Dave HI Jackie and Dave, I also am in the same boat and I phoned 195 to register, the operator didn't have a clue what I was on about and told me to contact customer services, so I did and spoke to a foreign person who also didn't have a clue what I was on about, so I gave it up as a bad experience. It's not worth the hassle. Good luck to all those who manage to register. Jim.Thanks Dave. I'm in the same boat as yourself on this one, so willdo.Jackie----- Original Message ----- From: "Ankers, Dave (UK)" <Dave.Ankers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, November 29, 2007 2:42 PM Subject: [access-uk] 1471 free ring backHi All, I have been watching the thread and remembered that I was beingchargedfor this service. So I rang 195 and enquired about it. The first advisor told me to contact BT to register, so I did and eventuallygotthrough to the age and disability department, number 0800 9195 91,andwas told that it is with the 195 service that one needs to be registered. So back to them and the second advisor agreed and put me through to registration. Apparently those newly registered are automatically registered on the 1471 ring back service, and thoselikemyself have to ask to be registered. Why they don't just register everyone is beyond me. So if you phone 195, ask for registration anddonot accept being told to contact BT.
