Hi Darran,

I'm going through the same process here at present, and also, going to be using
the 2500k

Starting From a point of very little knowledge, going by what I've read this
processor has dual-channel memory support, so aparently either 2 blocks of 4
for 8gb or 2x2 for 4gb is the prefered configuration.

Like I said, just going on what i've managed to find out on the web, so quite
prepared to be corrected by those with more knowledge than I have.

Cheers,

Tim.

  Subject: [access-uk] A RAM Question

  Hi List.

I'm going through the steps of putting together a new desktop PC, and I'd
appreciate some input from the more knowledgeable on one thing.

Is there any real benefit in opting for 6GB of RAM over 4?

  It'll be for a 64 bit Win 7 Home Premium computer, with a Intel Core i5 2500K
processor. If that helps! And there won't be any gaming or the like going on
either.

  Thanks.

  Darran
