David, yes it is true, that not all releases of a film with AD will have the AD title on the DVD. I too have found this out to my cost, and when searching on sites such as Amazon.co.uk [whom I've contacted about this without much positive response] and play.com, there is nothing to indicate if the version of the dvd advertised is the one with AD. Very frustrating isn't it? - Andy ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Russell" <david.russell8@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Access-Uk@Freelists. I ask because a friend of mine saw | the film "atonement" at the cinema and it had an AD track. knowing the film | was now out in dvd, today I trotted down to my local Tesco and purchased it. | Sadly, it does not appear to have an AD track. I can watch the film in | italian, hear the Director droning on for hours about each individual camera | shot, but no audio description. I rather assumed that if a film had AD in | the cinema it would have AD on the dvd, or are there AD and non-AD versions | of the dvd? | | This is all turning out to be rather more complicated than I anticipated. | | | David | | ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- | ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] | ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: | ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx | ** and in the Subject line type | ** unsubscribe | ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the | ** immediately-following link:- | ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] | ** or send a message, to | ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq | | | -- | This email has been verified as Virus free. | Virus Protection and more available at http://www.plus.net ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
