It doesn't scan each time you boot up, but rather it scans at, by
default, 8:00AM daily. However, this can be changed, so here's how to do
it:
1. Focus to the system tray, and press enter on AVG control centre.
2. Tab until focus lands on the list view.
3. Scroll to scheduler, and tab to the scheduled tasks button and press
enter.
4. Tab to the list, and scroll to basic test, and tab to the edit
schedule button. Press enter to activate that.
5. The first item is a check box that should be checked. Press space to
uncheck it.
6. Press enter on OK.
7. Press enter on close.
8. Press escape to minimize the control centre back to the system tray.
Hope that helps.
