The police and specials have "police" in Braille on their warrant cards, on an
embossed, and raised area, not just stuck on as a piece of tape, nor brailed
onto it. I would guess that it sticks out from the card about an eight inch.

We had contact with the police a few years ago. the woman who came to the
door showed us her card which had police in braille on it, although she
didn't actually know what it said. we were expecting them to call but i
suppose anyone could write braille on a card if they had a mind to. If they
speak to you on the phone in advance you could perhaps agree a password.
