[access-uk] Re: Advice required for a friend who is having problems with spam on his e-mail account.

It is likely that whomever has managed to access the hotmail account has changed the password to prevent the owner from being able to access it and to allow them to use it for a longer period to send any spam messages.

They will need to get in touch with hotmail through their help system to try and reclaim their account. Once they have completed this they should hopefully be able to use messenger again.

Hi Bob and all,

Thanks for that reply. I'll pass it on.

Further to the message I sent, the friend concerned has come
back to me with some further information:

"when I try to sign in to live messenger thru the desktop
it opens a box which says unable to sign you into messenger
then there is the error code in a drop down box entitled
details.. hope this helps as its very frustrating."

Does the above give anyone any clues as to what's wrong, or
further suggestions I can pass on?
