I downloaded a program called "voipcheap" which bypaying £5 into my account enables me to make unlimited free phonecalls to quite a number of countries; including of course the uk. You have to use your pc of course, and you have to dial 0044before the uk dialing code. example: 0044 121 552 4411.

I've just been looking at aPipex Christmas offer at:

www.pipex.co.uk

off the link 'broadband offers. It does seem quite tempting but you lock yourself in for a year and have to pay the outstanding subscription if you quit before the year's out.

The integral phone use to 01 and 02 numbers looks quite good though. I just wonder if anyone has opted for such a package with this or any other provider. How do you think the cost stacks up and do you think there are substantial savings to be made over what BT charges? (I mention BT because the Pipex offer assumes you do have a BT line.)
