I have a Pioneer 107 CD/DVD burner/player on a XP Home machine. I have also an older LG CD burner/player installed. My sound card is a Soundblaster Audigy 2. Until recently I had no problems but now I find I can burn CD's but not DVD's and can play back commercial CD's but not one's I've burnt myself. I have Windows Media Player, Real and Creative and the Pioneer recognises none of them for playback of my own creations. The LG machine has no problems at all and will play back anything in any of my media players.

I uninstalled the Audigy software and re-installed it to no avail. I went into Device Manager and uninstalled the Pioneer and re-booted to allow XP to reinstall it for me and still no joy. I've checked every setting I can find and can find nothing wrong. But obviously something is wrong. Can anyone help me with this please.

Many thanks

Roger

You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me.
