Sorry, Derek, Don't think that one is worth debating right now and the matter of who pays the courier charges depends very much on circumstances and when we fixed this arrangement that was the best option. All I needed from Access-UK was information regarding couriers and insurers and I have that now, thanks to a number of good folk. -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Derek Hornby Sent: Sunday, August 21, 2005 11:29 AM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: COURIER AND INSURANCE CHARGES Hi Carol > am waiting for the person concerned to agree/or otherwise such courier > charges. Do you think that it would have been better to have factored into your selling price the costs of delivery. Another point worth considering is, is insurance of a parcel really worth it? I mean what are the chances of a correctly addressed and traceable parcel getting lost? And, what are the chances of same parcel having its contents damaged if correctly and well packed? How many people can confirm they have received a parcel from IT supplier, (like say George's company) and the goods were damaged, even though well packed. How many people have ordered goods and they failed to arrive, even though correctly addressed? Of course only the sender would be aware parcel correctly addressed!
