Now, now, it is all the research and development which goes into the products; or so I was told concerning other items!!

The camera on the Pearl is only 5mp and images are at 200 dpi which is lower than mostitems are scannedAnd mobile phones have been made with a 8 MP camera (the N86) which you can buy for around £350 and put BeyoCBS on to it for £70. Ok the application for BeyoCBS and Pearl are completely difference, though the Pearl can be used anywhere even on a netbook you don't really want to get your netbook out at a station and such cut cameras cost around the same sort of price, I suspect this is the VI price exaggerations that make us pay so much money.Ok these are just my thoughts and wondered if anyone thinks the way I amthinking too? I would recommend Kurzweilforease of use, and it has rarely caused me problems. One point worthy of consideration is that with KW you can upgrade from an old version to the latest one, without paying for any versions you may have missed. I donotknow whether this is the same with Openbook. Also, the KW license allows you to use it on any machine, as long as you are the sole user.It is probably also worth considering that Openbook will soon be pairedwiththe new Pearl camera technology if that is what you wish to use.I am just putting these points forward as things you might wish toconsider.I do not have many answers, but am just posing a few questions whichothersmay wish to comment on. K1000 isn't copy protected in the way that Open Book version 9 will be either, but it costs £100 more at themoment.I use both of them. What I can't get out of one, I generally can withtheother.
