Part of the point about C&P, Barry is that, in theory, skimming cards
becomes of no value for two reasons.  First, skimmers cannot yet
reproduce the info contained on the chip and any cloned card would
therefore be incomplete.  Second, in order to use a cloned card, you'd
also need to have the PIN associated with it.

One other non-standard that I have, so far, only found in Tesco's is
that 
the card is passed to the cashier rather than put in the slot on the
keypad. 
Again, this seems to defeat the object.  I read a story last year about
a 
member of staff in a supermarket or garage getting arrested for secretly

swiping the cards through a card reader under the desk before swiping it

through the till.
