I think it was $40 or $45 Canadian for the license. The app itself is
downloadable from the goldwave website.
I'm a jaws user, and it works fine with the jaws scripts.
The beauty is that you can try before you buy.

I seem to remember that you use SuperNova. I don't know what the access is
like, but Goldwave is a really good all-round digital editing programme.
It's also very cheap to buy the license.

You could download the free version of cdex and you can convert away.
I use it all the time for ripping and, before I bought GoldWave, converting
files from wav to mp3 and vice-versa.
Just google it and you'll get to the cdex page.
