Eleanor, GoldWave isn't designed for the blind, but has features that can be
used with the keyboard. It's also accessible, for the most part, with screen
readers. GoldWave, however, is shareware, but the trial is pretty fair in
that it will work for up to 3,000 commands in total before you'll have to
buy the product, which is I believe $40. GolddWave will allow you to convert
files into several formats, however MP3 isn't supported unless you download
the Lame MP3 encoder. For more information and to download, go to
www.goldwave.com. Hope this helps.

  Hi Eleanour,

I seem to remember that you use SuperNova. I don't know what the access
is like, but Goldwave is a really good all-round digital editing programme.
It's also very cheap to buy the license.

      Hello Eleanor,

You could download the free version of cdex and you can convert away.
I use it all the time for ripping and, before I bought GoldWave, converting
files from wav to mp3 and vice-versa.
Just google it and you'll get to the cdex page.
