[access-uk] Creating a network

Hi all -
I'm ready to set up a wireless network now, but have little idea what to buy
to achieve it.
Can some kind soul suggest/recommend and explain what to do, with suitable
hardware.
I need to know how it all connects, so please, be big on detail for me, it
really will help.
