Richard, I think that in general the answer to your query is "No", but some time ago the BBC were running a trial in which a few programs could be downloaded as MP3s, but I don't know whether they plan to extend this. I find that the problem with the Listen Again links is that they are only available for around 1 week after the live program, and it would certainly be useful to be able to download items to listen to at a later date when time permits.
