Ray,It's convenience and people who haven't been bit by a data destroying virus IMHO that go for free AV protection.
To me you cant' put a price on your data security. Dj Paddy----- Original Message ----- From: "Ray's Home" <rays-home@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

OK, so AVG anti-virus isn't bad at all, but frankly, I never see why people are prepared to skimp on anti-virus software. Such programs as NOD32 and Kaspersky ,are very good packages with service second to none. Just that free, to me, in this field, is a false economy. From Ray I can be contacted off-list at: mailto:ray-48@xxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- Chris Hallsworth Ari, stuff TrendMicro and get AVG Free instead. I appreciate Asda gave it you for free bla bla bla, but AVG Free is completely accessible; even the threat found boxes are accessible with the major screen readers. Just my two pence worth. What happens is, I've noticed that when itfindsa virus, not while you're doing a normal scan, but when it scans inthebackground, I noticed a window which I could alttab past, but JAWS wouldn't say anything, it was sort of just silent. When I didn'tknow whatthe window was, I routed the cursors and tried to read it, but JAWSjustread surrounding windows. It was only when my brother saw thiswindow, that he told me it was a virus warning, and it was only when heclicked onsomething that JAWS spoke the window a bit, but even then, theprogram waspathetic in dealing with the virus, because although my brother andIchose delete the file, for some unknown reason it said that itcouldn'tdelete the file and that we had to delete it mannually. I stillcan'tunderstand why it supposedly couldn't delete the file, because itwas justa zipped file that I was very lucky I didn't run, but to move anduse itwith JAWS, I think only Steganos has been worse. I've always beensayingI'll try something else, it's just that Absa gives us Trendmicrofreebecause of internet banking.
