Hello Eleanor,

Many thanks. It wasn’t working for me before, but it is now.

With best wishes,

Keith

double tap with one finger and hold for a few seconds.you should then hear a
sound.lift your finger and double tap again.this double tap is also with one
finger Arnsley.you should then get a prompt asking you if you wish to
delete.there is an option to delete our cancel so swipe across the screen to
get to the delete option.

Good morning all,

Can someone please help?

I wish to delete an app on my iPhone. I have the book “Getting Started with the
iPhone”, which says I should tap twice on an app, and hold the second tap. I
should then receive a prompt. I am receiving no such prompt, in fact the phone
is totally silent.

I realise that things change with IOS updates since the book was written.

Any help would be appreciated.

With many thanks.

Keith
