[access-uk] Different word problem

When I am working on a big document in MS Word, when I have finished and close
word, I am unable to do anything constructive for several minutes as for
allpractical purposes I have no speech. Has anyone got any ideas as to why
this might be? I am using office 2000 and it was re-installed relatively
recently.
