Would you not do better with a dongle?

When my computer guy was here the other day setting mine up, the thing found his phone before mine, god they're good!!

Subject: [access-uk] Downloading From Mobile Phone

Hi All

The Guv'ner has a Sony Eriksson 3610 and wants to download the photos she's taken onto my PC. We have a datalink cable and a minidisc of the drivers. Using Win XP I assumed it would be plug and play but nothing seemed to happen and the phone never came up on My Computer as a new drive. So I started to install the driver disc and hit problems. It has a long list of different USB & serial connection, data cables and card readers. Obviously a multi purpose disc but no indication of the one I need. Short of going back to the Voda shop tomorrow and trying to get someone to understand what I mean is anyone on this list familiar with my task and can help me?

Many thanks

Roger

Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
