Hi Alexander, (and Mandy)

It should be noted that there is a difference between
grouping messages by Conversation, and grouping them by
Subject.

Grouping by Subject sorts by what you see in the Subject
field.

However, what you don't normally see are Header lines of the
Message. If you send a brand new message, a conversation
Header line is created which is essentially a copy of the
Subject line.

But change the actual Subject line, and resend the message,
and the above line remains the same. This line denotes the
"Conversation".

Consequently when someone is lazy, uses Reply, and changes
the subject entirely to something completely different, that
message stays part of the original "Conversation".

George.

Hi Mandy and also Chris,

Chris, you were almost there with what you told Mandy but
not quite, I'm
using Outlook Express and after reading your message, Chris,
I checked the
steps Mandy needs to follow, and as I said you were almost
there but not
quite.

Mandy, as Chris says, you do need to go into the view menu,
but once there,
you will land on Current view. if you press right arrow on
that, a submenu
will appear. if you cursor down that submenu to "group
Messages by
conversation" and make sure this is not checked, I believe
this will solve
your problem.

If not, I am sure someone will correct me where I've gone
wrong.

I hope what I have said is of help.
