Hi,

Yeah, the DM5 isn't as accessible as the DM7. Just try setting the clock on
the DM5. You can do it, but every time you move, the whole month/date is
read out. On the DM7 this is much nicer.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve

I didn't pay a fortune, I bought a new DM5 for £70 or so on Amazon. It is
fair to say that not all of them have complete speech accessibility though.

Kind regards,

Hi Jackie,

No need to pay a fortune. In fact, the LS14, which is a better recorder
than the DM5, even with its own mics, is cheaper at £229.00.

All the best

Hi Jim

I currently use my DM5 for audio, but with an external microphone. You
could pay a fortune to record professionally if you were of the mind,
(smile).

Jackie,

I don't know that I would use either the Plextalk or Linio for making pro
recordings. I might buy one of them on approval just to test it out.I'd be
useing the Olympus ls-100 or a Sound Devices machine, but the SD stuff is in
a totally different price bracket, smile.
