Subject: Major problem with outlook express not opening

hi all

During the course of last week my outlook express started crashing when
downloading mail to the point where eventually it stopped opening altogether
and has remained this way. When you try and open it you get a screen saying
that the product is licensed and some copyright info from Microsoft. I also
have outlook express 2000 on the system and I can get into this ok but when I
try and import my messages from outlook express the programme crashes.

I am using xp home with all current updates, I've run spy doctor and AVG and
can't find anything obviously wrong with either programme. Also using jaws 8
although was still using 7 when the problem started and still have it on the
system. Likewise with IE am now using 7 as thought that there would be an outex
7 as well which there isn't so was still using 6 when the problem started.

I have only seen a similar problem once before on a PC and was able to
resurrect it by copying the executable file from the programme files to the
desktop but this isn't;to ,working for me in this case either.

If anyone can throw any light on this before I reformat the machine or at least
try and take it back to the last known good comfig then I will be very
grateful. Cheers!

Graham
