Ron,

As I said in my reply to your message on Access UK, the only Kindle with
speech is the Kindle Keyboard. There is also a free Kindle for PC with
accessibility, but as that runs on a PC it isn't portable in the same
way. The voices in Kindle Keyboard and Kindle for PC with accessibility
are the same, Nuance Samantha and Tom, both of which are adult US
voices. You can here demonstrations of both of them on the following
web page:
http://www.nextup.com/nuance.html

If you want to try out Kindle for PC with accessibility, you can
download it from this web page:
http://www.amazon.com/kindle/accessibility
Read the page first, and visit the Accessibility Shortcuts page that it
links to, to find out how it works.

Have fun,
Steve
