I'm not sure I understand the problem. When using F7 and then using the
bracket keys on my system, the markers seem to be set at the correct
position. Things that may affect the position include the "Snap to
zero-crossing" setting, the Latency device setting, and the DirectSound or
Core Audio mode.

In GoldWave it is possible to record and play at the same time. You can
record in one file while playing another. Separate pause functions are
needed for playback and recording so they they can be paused independently.
The same is true for the stop buttons.

On the Keyboard Options window, there are Save and Load buttons. When you
choose the Save button, it displays the standard Save File window, which
allows you specify the location where the file is saved. JAWS should be
able to read the current location. The Load button displays the standard
Open File window, where the location can be specified as well.

Chris,

I understand why the pause and stops are different, but no, I do not see a
save as or load from dialogue but I do on saving / loading in other sound
editting programs such as in totalRecorder or WavePad, I see these when
saving / loading files in GW, so can't understand it. this is the case both
on my laptop and desktop.
