Hi John, you may have done this already, but have you checked that the two
options press home for Siri and allow Siri when locked are both on? They are in
settings, Siri and search. I doubt this is an issue with the iPhone 6 model but
I don’t have one to check I’m afraid.

From what you have said, it may be a specific issue with the iPhone 6, as
this is a different phone to the models you have.
