Yes, the system has to show that it is connected regardless of what application you are using.


If you go into Accessories, Internet Connections and View Available Wireless Connections you should see the SSID of your BT Hub as an available wireless connection. This is if your wireless card is properly inserted into the laptop and all drivers are loaded and functional.

When you try to connect to your BT Hub it will prompt you for a key this is the WEP key programmed on your hub. This will take the form: 4508e76a11. Yours will vary from this. Enter this in the pox and again to confirm click connect and you should be away. Hi Malcolm,

Having checked what you suggested, I found that the wireless network cable was unplugged, however, this was checking it when the machine was not in Outlook Express, would this make any difference?
